The impact of the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19 continues to be felt around the world, and the Pat Asadu Foundation has not been exempt. Through these challenging times, we have continued to monitor the situation and respond accordingly in our communities. The Pat Asadu Foundation wishes to reiterate its unwavering support and intention of putting programs in place to support our communities on how to keep safe during this uncertain time.

  • 2020 annual free clinic cancelled to mitigate the spread of the virus due to the large crowd typically received and the tremendous burden faced by our healthcare partners.
  • The Foundation executed a Covid 19 Sensitization and Drug Distribution Project to help educate and spread awareness about COVID-19 and its impact in our communities.
  • All programmes requiring gathering were postponed and re-convened only after approval from all health and government agencies.
  • In acknowledgement of the Impact of COVID-19 on people’s livelihoods, their health and food supply, the December 2020  Empowerment and Feeding programme was significantly expanded with supplies including Motorcycles, Rice, Branded Exercise Books and Clothing were distributed and 1,000 people received support grants totalling N50m.
