Education
Educating our future for a better tomorrow.
“Knowledge makes a man unfit to be a slave.”
– Frederick Douglas
The Problem
One in five out-of-school children globally has been confirmed to be in Nigeria, constituting about 20% of children lacking any kind of formal education globally. In addition, today’s youth face many uncertainties of the future including the affordability of secondary and tertiary institutions.
The nation’s education sector is plagued with a number of problems including:
- Poor Funding.
- Inadequate Classrooms.
- Poor Educational Infrastructures.
- Lacking Teaching Aids (Computers, Laboratories, Libraries etc.).
Our Solution
For the enlightenment of our villagers and the foundation of our future, the following projects have been developed. The programme framework will enable additional projects to be included if they contribute to the desired outcomes and benefits.
-
The PAF Student Scholarship Scheme
Divided into the Secondary and Undergraduate Schemes, 1000 Secondary school students have already benefited from the Pat Asadu Scholarship Scheme whose selection is implemented through a Schools Challenge Quiz for the 42 Public Schools in Nsukka/IgboEze South LGAs. Successful students are shortlisted to benefit from the scheme. The Undergraduate Scheme is planned to take off soon.
-
Educational Infrastructure Project
Educational Infrastructure Project Focuses on improving the learning environment of students across our communities. Includes the construction of classroom blocks, the renovation of school buildings as well the provision of teaching aids like our fully equipped e-Library at the University of Nigeria Nsukka.
